Kendra (Gunter) Rhodes

10 years ago I was starting my first Semester of college, had recently gotten engaged and was working my first job. My how the time has flown. I don't feel 28 at all.

Since HS I attended college at CEU, got married to the love of my life, Kody Rhodes, in 1999. Had my first son, Kolton in March, of 2000, had my second son, Kagen, in January, of 2002, thought I was done and then had my daughter, Kashley, in December, of 2005. I know, shocking for the girl who wasn't going to get married or have kids until I was at least 26. That is what happens when you fall in love.

I had a knee surgery in 2003 (old Goat Tying injury) worked various jobs and now am settled at Castleview Hospital (yeah I know the jokes.) I am the Medical Staff Coordinator/PHO Coordinator for the hospital and I love my job! I love getting to interact with the doctors but not actually have to work for them and I love not having to do any sort of BILLING! I have been here for 2 years and have no plans to leave in the near future.

Those of you who know me well, know that I would not be able to function without still being active with my horses and participating in RODEO! I still do rope and run barrels but on new horses which makes it a little like starting over again. My mare that I rode all through high school died 2 years ago in a freakish accident and I went an entire year without roping. Something I don't intend to do again for the sake of my family. I was a very ornery person when I was not roping. It is my own little sanctuary I guess. Some people scrap book or jog, I rope. I have a few horses I would like to train to sell and would like to make a business out of it someday. My husband and I live on a 55 acre farm just outside of Wellington and are currently building our "dream home". It seems soooo slow I wish it would just be done already! But I am having fun getting to choose everything, change a wall here, add a wall there, it will all be worth it in the long run. My husband wants to do it himself, I guess it is a guy thing, "I built this with my own 2 hands." I am happy to choose the colors and the appliances. It will be something nice that we can pass down for generations.

I can't believe I have an 8 year old son and 2 other children, or that I have been out of HS for 10 years. Crazy isn't it. I would love to hear from anyone who wants to chat so please feel free to e-mail me at kendra.rhodes@lpnt.net if you get bored one day. Sorry I didn't get to go the the reunion Kimalee and Mandy (Fausett) said that it was fun.
